Irrigation system
Need Answer
Hello!
How should I make irrigation system with Zipato? Anything good idea?
I would like to control 4 walves and the the pump. So 5 devices of all. The walves and pump control works with 24V AC. So I have to switch 5x 24V ac
Could I use Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor (chepast) or Fibaro double relay switch?
Thanks

With a bit of luck you can try with fibaro rgb control using single color lines as relay.
Otherwise binary switch.
Universal sensor cannot act as relay...

As Carlo suggests there is a way to configure Fibaro RGBW control as relay trigger, but you will need two of these. Each Fibaro RGBW module can control / switch up to 4 channels and it is not as easy as turning ON/OFF.
How about a Z-Uno with a Relay Board attached to it, I read the relay part works pretty good with Zipato (meter part does not).
Fibaro double relay switch only works for 110-240 v, and Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor is a sensor not a relay. These are another two options;

Just a note, Fibaro binary switch (2nd generation) must be powered at 110/220 VAC but the IN and OUT lines can be connected to whatever you want (different power supply, AC, DC,...).
I use this myself for irrigation with a 24v power supply.
Binary switch 1st generation (out of production) were able to be powered both AC or DC.

You can use this:
- 1 x transformer 230V/AC > 24V/AC ( https://www.comatec-hitech.com/en/169_2/product.php?id=169 )
- 2 x Fibaro FGS 222 or more for additional devices (main water input, garden watering)
- 1 x Fibaro FGS 213 (my Pump is 230V/AC)
- this wiring sample ( https://community.hom.ee/t/howto-gartenbewaesserung-mit-homee-und-z-wave/1085 )
- rules are here somewhere in forum

Can you post a screenshot shot of the irrigation rule

If you have ac valves, only use dry contact switch as the fibaro. Dont use universal sensor as it is for DC not AC. 24v DC is not 24AC
