Is it possible to trigger a rule when All-On All-Off is send by a device to the z-wave network

Hi,

I'm currently using a vera lite, but I'm very intrested in this zipabox.

One of the things I'm really missing in the vera, is that the vera is unable to respond to All-On/All-Off commands that are send in the z-wave network.

Is it possible to trigger a rule when a All-On/All-Off command is send by a device, with the zipabox?

Thanks

I can't understand what you mean? All-On by a device. When all your devices are off? All lights are off? Please explain.

In the zwave standard there is commands all_on, all_off.

That is what the question is about.

And to answer the question, the answer is:

No, ZipaBox has not support for zwave commands like that.

I have a remote control with a all_on/all_off buttons and it will be nice to directly arm the alarm when I press all_off (switch all the lights in the house).

I suggest to zipato team to include as buit-in feature of the zipabox the all_on and all_off actuators and sensors in the rules creator.

Besides, it will also allow to add by rules all_on and all_off capabilities to all kind of devices and not only to those which have been designed to do so.

do you mean something like this. All on and all off (and what ever other scenes you create are in the scenes list on the bottom of the devices tab.

Yes but in the other way around. I have a remote control that I use as a secondary controller. I can initiate all_in and all-off actions from the remote. I would like to intercept the all_in or all_out actions when I press the button and not only to limit the action to devices where this function is included by design.

Greetings,

We do not currently support this particular command class.

That is unfortunate. It seems to be part of the z-wave standard.
