Joining a Nexa WMR-252

I just want to share my experience of joining a Nexa WMR-252 unit. This works great in the old version web interface, but not at all in the new style interface.
I have software 0.9.999.6 on my Zipatobox Duo.
The same problem 
No connection
Real-time notifications may not work

Yes, I will do that. The beta software however doesn't seem to work on my box, but that's a different issue.
I just wanted this to be on record so that others does not have to do as much troubleshooting as I did :-)

I have tried the latest beta firmware release for approximately 24 hours now. My box went offline three times during this period, so I have downgraded again.
