Hi,

Is it possible to make a rule and then run it as a scene? If got some rules to turn of my computer (that first runs a http request then turns of the power).

You can make virtual switch and create scene with it (to set state on/off). Then you should create your rule and in when condition put your virtual switch. That way when you run your scene the rule will be executed.

Put "sensor" puzzle and virtual switch in it (select true or false depending which state you used in your scene on of off).

Virtual switch sucks in that case, the best thing to do would be to allow rule to use scene in sensor. Like triggering rule on Scene Event Run.

Beside this it suck because running a rule on an already On virtual switch makes nothing happens, and its annoying to make virtual switch for each scene

I am totally new to Zipato and also want to create som rules for a scene. For example I want to make a "SEE MOVIE" Rule that is triggered by a scene. Can someone explain how to accomplish this with pictures or youtube film?

I don't think that this is possible Jacob. I know created a virtual switch 'Watch movie' and when that is triggered I run the 'Watch movie' scene (which then uses IFTTT to GET a Maker URL which triggers the Harmony hub to power on all the A/V devices).

Hi Jacob, not sure if you have completed this yet but i'll try to help. You need to create a virtual switch. Then is the rule creator make the virtual switch, when turned on/off do what ever you want it to do. Such as turn on lights, dim lights, send http command, send IR commands, etc. Then create a scene to include this virtual switch only. The secret I found is to find out how long it takes to execute all the commands when the virtual switch is triggered. You can then add a wait command in the puzzle and then turn off switch. This way you are always turning on the switch with the scene.
