Need Answer

hello,

it is provided in the raodmap have a map of the Zwave mesh network? to see if it is well optimized?

because personally I can not use my fortezz ssa03 to increase the range of my zipabox

thank you to you

ps: it is planned the release of a more powerful antenna to replace the original one for the zipabox? can you use an amplified antenna wifi?

no news for this function ?

This is an important feature. A lot of issues with range can be solved by optimizing the placement of repeaters and the Zipabox itself.

may be we can ask it in different way

is there a portable monitor to identiefy the strenth of the z-wave segnal ?

I got this antenna explicitly sold to work with Zipabox (Swedish website).Antenna:

and this adapter is needed:

you can not really provide a map of the network. You can go to your device settings and check its neighbor nodes, to help determine if it is part of a network. Not sure how you expect to get a map from your Zipabox.

You can use fibaro motion sensors to check signal strength of your network, also Aeotec smart switch 6 plugs can perform this.

Are you talking about something like this?

Is it possible to run Domoticz as secondary controller and let it map the Network?

I have problems that Zipato Network Heal really does not work at my Zipabox and relocated battery devices after inclusion to Zipabox does not work as the Nodes are not passed trough several mains operated Zwave products so that the message from battery powered for example Fibaro The Button comes to Zipabox after relocation.

I am waking up my battery devices during network heal. Some The Buttons are not seen during nework heal at all if they are "far away from Zipabox, but mains operated zwave products every 1-2m". Some pretty nearby The Buttons Network Heal is started after waking up but healing fails...

Ismo,

As far as I know from Zipato, it is possible to add a secondary controller to Zipabox/Zipatile, but they haven't been able to provide the correct procedure of doing this, I have tried in several ways and none worked, I have a ticket open and still waiting for an answer.

Now, regarding your objective. It should work if your domoticz controller is closer to the devices than the zipabox, as far as I know, the first time you add a secondary controller to the network, the main controller sends the routing table to this controller so, at that time, routing table is identical.

After you add devices you have to update the table by performing network heal on both processors each time, after you relocate your device to its final destination.

According to Zipato this is not possible, don't understand why but you can read their answer below.

The new network tester from The Z-wave alliance should be able to do this. But it is only available to registered Z-wave integrator Members. It is basically a rasp pi with some software on it, so im sure you'll find it out there on the web somewhere eventually. http://z-wavealliance.org/cit/

Zipato have told me it "should" work, but im unaware if anyone has tested it yet.

I want this Tool-Kit! Is it free for integrator members?
