I see some design differences in the screenshots in the app store and the installed app on my iPhone.

General:

  • Device sorting, alphabetical order on the device name or user set.
  • It would be nice if for multi sensors en meters users can choose he value next to name (motion or temperature, or ...)

Issues:

  • Hue bulbs have only on/off button and no color picker ( i like the screenshot example in the app store where on/off en color picker are combined)
  • local connection no data is shown and app crashes often
  • Device manager, app crashes while editing devices
  • Device manager select network is missing names for some networks
  • No language files available yet?
  • Thermostats have "True" as label in list view and no visible indication for heating or cooling. (The thermostat screenshots in the app store has indicators for heating/cooling and temperature as device label)

  • I am missing a user-configurable "home" screen where I can start a scene, see the temperature and turn on some lights. I want to share this screen configuration with other members of the family.
  • The current navigation is logical, but not engineer towards usability. For instance: why do I have to select a partition before turning on the alarm? I only have one partition ...
  • Make better use of screen estate: why do I need to scroll through all the devices, when there is enough unused screen estate to show them all?
  • Why are the things I use the most of the left side of the screen? With phones getting bigger every year, I'd rather have something in the middle.
  • Now it is not intuitive to see what is clickable and what is static. Some of my family members really couldn't figure out how to set the alarm, because when they selected the alarm icon, the only thing they saw was: Alarm (true). Nobody understood what a "true alarm" was.

since yesterday something strange is happening with app (Dashboard is OK):

1. Communication switch shows consumtion instead status ON > https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34829066/Zipato/IOS/My%20Zipato/IMG_0451.PNG

2. Motion sensors shows temp. instead status NO MOTION > https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34829066/Zipato/IOS/My%20Zipato/IMG_0452.PNG

3. I also noticed that the app crashes (very often)

4. please reduce the refresh time

I have problems with setting the alarm. Everytime I want to set the alarm to "arm", zones are supposedly "not ready''. When trying again one or two times, I can set the alarm. So there is nothing wrong with the zones, the zone status is simply not updated in time. This is not a problem if I switch off wifi on my iphone and use 3g/4g.

The status information from the zones is loaded after the user has selected to "arm" the alarm. It would be an improvement if:

- the system starts loading the status of the zones in the background

- the user enters the pin

- the user selects the alarm to "arm"

- once the system has loaded the status of the zones, the alarm is actually set to "arm"

- if one of the zones is not ready, the app sends a message the alarm is "not ready".

- if everything is ok and the system has set the alarm, the system sends a message to the user that the alarm is confirmed and armed

Preferably this use case should be started from a home screen and not from the device menu.

There is no OK button to set the thermostat mode -> no way to validate the choice. Is this a size problem with the iPhone 4S ? (see attached picture)

ok, i've understood : just by touching the word, the mode is validated, no need to press any validation key. The problem comes from another point : In Heating mode and I press OFF: the air conditioner switch off: perfect !. However, from the 'OFF mode', it's not possible to switch on 'heating' or 'cooling' mode. If I press 'Heat' or 'Cool', it goes back to 'OFF' automatically. If I press 'Auto', the air conditionner starts in a unknown mode. I have to mentioned that all works perfectly from the web desktop !

Up !

I confirm that it's impossible to switch thermostat from OFF to > HEAT mode...

Another problem : impossible to Arm the alarm while the motion sensor is active. it's possible with the dashboard (I defined this sensor in the exit zone), with the RFID keypad, but impossible with the IOS app !!!
