Not able to join Danfoss Living Connect

Hello,
I'm trying to join a Danfoss Living Connect. It finds the device, but then the joining fails.
I tried to reset the device (holding the dot button while inserting the battery), a"M" is displayed. Then I hold the dot button 3 seconds to exit the mounting mode. Then I activate the add device (Danfoss Living Connect) on the zipabox and press once on the dot button of the device. The device flashes for a few seconds, the zipabox says "device found, joining device", but at the end of the countdown it says "Join not successful".
Fyi the device is not mounted on a radiator, I want to include it on the zipabox before mounting it (the radiator is very far away from the zipabox). Living Connect 014G0012.

I tried again, finaly after mounting it on the radiator, this time it worked.
It's probably not possible to join the device before mounting it? Too bad there aren't any controller to add a device without being near the box.
