Offline status since failed upgrade to firmware 0.9.971

After an attempt to upgrade to firmware 0.9.971 (which I should not have done seeing the problems reported in this forum) my zipabox serial: 010027020D01F56F stays offline despite soft/hard resets including button 2 trick. I checked that the box gets a valid ip address on my dhcp router and the light is steady green. So what should I do to solve this (is it a server issue) ?
Any help & comments welcome...
