Offline Zipato box
Solved
Starting from today at 15.50 CET time, the zipato box result OFFLINE; actually it seems able to read values but is no longer able to set/communicate with.
Some lights are currently switched on and I have to turn off as soon as possible.
Please, check it and solve-out as faster as you can.
Many thanks in advance and regards

Hi Giorgio,
Have you tried rebooting your Zipabox? Also please try unplugging and after 2-3 min plugging in the power cable of your Zipabox.
If this doesn't help contact us on support@zipato.com with your User name and Password so we can check the status of your Zipabox.
Regards,
Hrvoje

Dear all,
the Zipato box is 200km far away..... the only possibility to reboot it is to do remotely using the console.... but the problem is that the console seems to be not able to send command to the box......
This morning all was working without problems; it just "moved" in offline mode on the first part of this afternoon....

I solved-out the issue, physically rebooting the box (200 Km spent!)

Waste off time. Zipato has otherways of rebooting your box.

Wasted time?
Oh, really?
So, what is this fantastic Zipato solution to reboot the box?
BUT MOSTLY: why, if there is this solution, after 8 hours nobody answered to me, no one has taken an action and nobody solved the issue?
Also if it exists, it is totally useless and unuseable...
I had 12 perimetral spotlights that were turned ON consuming 2KW/h for 8 hours and the REAL SOLUTION was to go there to reset manually the box; THAT HAS BEEN THE REAL SOLUTION, all others are only BLA BLA BLA BLA, only empty words.
And, if it will happen again, also after your answer, I'll be exactly, still now, in the same situation.
Solutions that are not used at all or not in time, are NON EXISTENT solutions
I also opened a ticket, but I cannot await 2 days for an action; but I would like to know what you would have done in the same situation: to await undefined time hoping in an answer or action, leaving 2KW for hour running in the meantime?

Hi Milan,
many thanks for your answer; I really appreciated your words and your effort; I agree: it should be nice to know "why" it stops working; what I can added is that the box stopped communications with all the Z-wave devices: all the rules connected with sensors were "freezed" and no actions were taken (motion detection, door opened, etc. etc.); but the console was "live" because when I tried to send new settings or so, the frontend was able to read values (Themostat, switch positions, etc), but, for exampe, it was not able to get the light level or temperature from the sensor.
After the reboot (as suggested I disconnected the power and reconnected it after a little time), it flashed for long time White (or blue, i don't remeber), but at the end it returned green and it was still able to operate normally.
About to solve the problem faster in the future: I know I don't have any right to pretend or priority and also I know all you are doing all your best to solve issues, problems and so on; I don't accuse you or the staff of inefficiency, but when some similar happens, it is a very big problem; so I don't know if there is (or could be) a real solution to that; perhaps to make available (if possible) an "emergency public procedure" to reset remotely the box could help (I mean: if I knew the SSH procedure to reboot the console, I could open the ports and try to do it by myself, as extreme last trial; i don't know if it is possible or if it open a big security issue, etc.). What I'm trying to say is that I appreciate your effort and your promises but if it happens during the night (for example) you cannot do "anything" anyway.....then, a "extreme remote last trial" procedure could be usefull.....
I don't know..... anyway, many thanks for your answer and your effort
Sincerly yours
Giorgio

Interesting regarding ssh... Is login user/password available for owners?
Can we see the dhcp assigned local ip somewhere in the control center?
I know that the mobile app shows the local ip, but that would not be available remotely (I can also find it in the DHCP server lease table, but it is a bit cumbersome).
It would be nice to have a remote solution for rebooting the box if it becomes unresponsive through the web interface.
