Power supply for Zipabox

Hello,

I have a alarm system with a external power supply with charging battery system (13,8 volt max.)

Is it possible to connect this "UPS" to the Zipabox ?

I see in the documentation of the Zipabox, that the power supply is 9-12V.

Is there a voltage regulator in the Zipabox ? Or I need to connect throught a 7809-7812 regulator ?

Thanks a lot.

Hi technopat,

If you're after a battery backup for Zipabox, there is a backup module available which provides a Lithium backup battery.

Besides that, we'll soon have a security module available, which will, besides wired zones, incorporate a charger for lead acid battery.

If you power your Zipabox with anything else other than the supplied adapter, you're on your own, and any damage done by doing so will not be covered by your warranty.

That said, Zipabox will work with 9-16V DC. Tip is positive on the barrel connector.

Hello,

Thank you for your explanations, and I know now that I can connect a power supply 9-16V DC.

I have not yet your zipabox, but I think I'll order it soon. I hope I can do everything:

- Programming pool (filter pump)

- check of water level

- Garden lighting

- VMC Programming
