(previously defined) Rules using (now) hidden devices

I created virtual switches and attached rules to them.
everything works fine.
Now I would like to hide them from the light & power widget (web & iOS).
After I checked the hidden box in the device parameters, when I edit the attached rules the device does not show anymore and the rule shows "unknown" devices.
My question is: will the rule still work ?
