Remember login credentials

Under Consideration

It should be possible to make my.zipato.com remember your username and password. Almost every other site has a little tick box that says "Remember me".

It is working for me. Not sure how to set up in browser settings.

Does it work for you with the mobile page? It is especially tedious having to type in a long email address every time on your phone.

do you mean the web app via mobile page?

Strange. I have schome on Xperia Z3 compact and upon loading the web page via the mobile, immediately as i press the screen to bring up the keyboard to start typing into the user name field, chrome provides me with the complete credentials so I only need to tap again.

my.zipato.com seems not to "remember" the user based on IP/Browser through the use of Cookies: If you've killed the browser and open it again the next day, you will be asked for login credentials. Most browsers can, however, remember the websites and suggest previously recorded credentials, if set up to do so.

My mobile browser remember my login details for other sites but does not give me the option on the my.zipato site. Do you get that option on this specific site or were you talking in general?

It is definitely browser dependent. I have Mozilla and Chrome at home and it remembered without issues. It asked the first time I have logged in after installed the browser. IE did not provide me with this option. On the other hand I have Mozilla at work and that did not remember, but I have a feeling, that I deliberately when prompted the 1st time, selected not to remember. And it does not ask me since.

I have no idea what to do, to force the browser to ask you or to store the details. Perhaps try google it.

Attila,

I think we are talking about two different things here; 1) if the browser used records username and passwords and remembers that for future use on the same website (i.e. a potential security risk), and 2) if Zipato websystem places a cookie/token on your computer which is retrieved later to automatically give access without explicit logins.

The first is functional, and has nothing to do with Zipato, the second seems to be broken, and when the user clicks "remember me" on the login page, the Zipato server doesn't.

Thank you:) The second option with cookies is the one I'm looking for. If you log in through the mobile page then you don't even get the "remember me" option.

A modern website shouldn't have to rely on third party software to do basic stuff, especially when the company in question actually develop software.

Robert, you are correct. I also noticed that the remember me option is simply not making any difference. Can confirm this does not work.
