Schlage Door Lock

Under Consideration

Hi,

I purchased the latest door lock from Schlage http://www.nexiahome.com/products/productdetail.aspx?model=BE469NXCAM619

Can associate it with Zipabox and can control it from the Zipbox, however there is no feedback if I open/close the door using a key or a knob.

Simply put, some locks simply don't transmit a status report when you manually lock/unlock them.

We have a few door locks from various manufacturers in our lab and some of them do not transmit a status report when you manually lock/unlock them. The same might be true for Schlage door locks.

Do you have any plans to look at it? Does Zipabox support Z-Wave Beaming technology?

Would remote access help you in anyway?

Marko,

This one does report back, this is well discussed over the Internet.

I just noticed that the lock (switch) is not visible on iOS devices, the sensor is there but without status, just a line with name

Let me put it another way, do you support zwave beaming and security mode required by new locks coming from Schlage and other reputable manufactures?

Yes, we do support wakeup beams and the security command class. We have Polycontrol and Vision door locks in our lab. Both of them work on batteries and both use the security command class for encryption. Also, both of them work fine with the Zipabox.

We do have a Schlage BE469NX door lock in our lab. To the best of our knowledge, it does not report door lock status when the bolt is manually operated, can you please tell us where you read that this door lock actually supports this feature?

We also have a Yale yrd220-zw-619 touchscreen door locks in our lab and this one does report the door lock status on manual bolt operation.

Here is the URL to z-wave features by Scalage. I really need an answer as I installed the lock and I need to proceed with either zipato or something else....

I recently changed my veralite by zipato. Veralite had suport for Schlage FE599 and it was good because I could put user codes and program different scenes for each use when he open the door.

Employees...If you need, I can open the SSH port for you to remote accesss.

we will try to do it remotely, if not possible, we will anyway purchase one sample and support it soon...

SSH access won't be necessary. Just open a ticket at http://support.zipato.com/ and we will sort this out.

I have three Schlage locks and after great support by the Zipato team and some extensive trial and error I can confirm that the Schlage lock is fully supported by Zipato / Zipabox and that it does report open/close state, even when you manually lock/unlock the door.

I'm using the latest Beta Firmware (0.9.999.6d) on my Zipabox, but it also works with the latest official FW (at least on my Zipato Table / Controller).

The key to making it work turned out to be the need to have the controller close to the lock, by close I mean right next to it!

I had the controller roughly 2m away before and it would fail every time. (it would "pair", but no control or status)

When I placed the controller on the door handle during pairing... it was all OK.

I'd recommend using the "Controller Zettings >> Z-Wave >> Add Node" method rather than "Add device" as I had better success rates using that method.

Thanks, I will try tonight. I prefer using the "old" skin so there is no option to "add node". Actually, even in the new one I can not find it.....

It's at the very bottom under the "Settings" section.

This feature must be available since the latest beta, installing it...

gentlemen I have a Schlage FE599 lock door and users can not read my zipato has the last firware some solution

As I stated in a previous message in this thread, the locks are extremely picky about the distance between the lock and box during pairing in order to establish the right configuration.

If too far away, they will still pair but it will not work.

I ended up hanging ZipaBox ON the door handle to be sure it was close enough.

I have a door lock Schlage FE599 that is paired up to zipato and I can see the lock status and also lock and unlock the unit. I cannot manage the codes or get a report on the lock operations for the Schlage FE599 lock, is this issue been address?

I just got my Zipamini today for testing purposes, and I too have a Schlage lock, can't seem to manage the codes either. It works fine otherwise, just don't see how to do it. (PS I paired the lock and Zipamini right next to each other, actually they paired faster and easier than my Vera).

I may end up returning this Zipamini box already. Too bad since I do like it's programming interface 100x better than Vera, but if the basic support of one of the most popular locks doesn't work, it will have to go back.

Hi. I can't connect my BE469NX. Can you, please, tell me how you do it ?

Regards
