Security of the Internet of Things / Bashshock / Zipabox
Answered
Dear Zipato team,
There are more and more questions about the security of the Internet of Things.
This week a new threat appeared, it is call BashShock and is potentially worse than HeartBleed :
http://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/vuln/detail?vulnId=CVE-2014-6271
So my questions are :
Did you plan to patch the Zipabox, that is running linux and therefor may be running bash ? (When will you ?)
How does Zipato secure their cloud servers and infrastructure to ensure that no one can access our network through the Zipabox ?
Regards,

This is a very important question since it stabs at thereat of the entire Zipato business model - having all configuration services mandating cloud access.

I meant 'the heart' not thereat!

Greetings,
No, the Zipabox does not have the bash shell installed. In fact, users do not even have access to the underlying Linux operating system.
