Smoke detection not triggering alarm

Hello,

I have set up a virtual alarm where I have added door sensors, smoke detectors etc.

The alarm is configured to call, send email and push messages in case of alarm breach.

The smoke alarms are defined as a safety device, which should classify them as "always armed".

However when I test the smoke alarms, I do not get any notification on. The siren configured to the alarm will also not sound.

I do however get a "tamper" notification when I press the button to silence the alarm.

How can I rectify this? I believe one of the most imporatant features of the alarm is to be notified if your house is on fire.

Have you tested that your alarm does send notification when the alarm is armed and there is a motion breach?

Yes,

Alarm does send notification on motion breach and as mentioned on tamper.

I have not tested the smoke alarms when alarm is in ARM state. However as far as I understand this should not matter as long as they are classified as safety devices? (these devices should always be armed)

Yes, indeed. Give it a try in arm state just to confirm this is not the root problem.

I have never tried to include a smoke sensor into the main alarm system, I have created a separate partition which is always armer and it is not allowed to be disarmed.

I remember Alberto had similar setup like you and surely it worked form him.

I had the same issue a few months ago and opened a ticket. Upgrade to latest official firmware, delete zone completely then sync, refresh, create a new zone with the smoke sensor and should work.

If it doesn't work open a ticket on Zipato Support, include your serial number.
