Smoke sensors and the security partition?
Need Answer
Hi all
I have added four Fibaro Smoke sensors to my Zipatile setup.
Do I need to activate the Safety partion to make Zipatile react when smoke is detected - or does it always react to smoke"
... and do all four alarms go off if one of them detects smoke?
Thomas
No connection
Real-time notifications may not work
Thomas,
I don't have Fibaro Smoke sensor but I have Zipato one and should be pretty much the same. There are several ways to integrate, how you do it depends on what are you trying to achieve.
* Integrated siren on smoke detector works regardless of the controller, it will go off as soon as it detects smoke.
* If you want Zipatile Virtual Alarm to react to it (whether you want to send notifications or trigger Tile' siren then you want to add a Safety Partition on the alarm, keep in mind safety partition are always active and will make every siren configured in the Alarm to go off (sound).
* You can also leave the smoke sensor out of virtual alarm and trigger any other siren or notification using rules.
* You can create direct associations between the smoke sensor and devices that support alarm messages and this would make them trigger in case smoke is detected.
Best Regards.
