Software update, when?
Will it be a software update for the ZipaBox soon that will make it useful?
I see talk about firmware update tomorrow?
hope that will be a 1.0 version, with the functionality that a product like this need.
And that it also together with it there will be a server software update that will remove most of bugs and issues therevis today...
I still have hope for this product, But there must soon be a software update to fix the problems that exist today. And there are also a need to add some more very nedred functionality to the box to make it useful.
Don't read me wrong here. I as a say still have hope!
I shosed this product becouse I needed some simple, easy to use, small simple and reliably house control system. BUT as it is today I can't trust my ZipaBox :-(
I will install it in a remote house next week, But I am not sure if it will survive power and network loss, that is rather common in that house... ZipaBox must be able to survive network down/up and also power down/up and after that without any manual operation be up and running!
Next time for me visiting that house can be half a year!
So I hope that software update will fix this, and also add the functionality that is needed to use this box.
If this software update doesn't fix the most obvius bugs and issues there is. For me the box is useless, and I doesn't think the product is ready to be sold! Probobly still in Alfa-test or a Beta-version.
If it just worked, and if the company could have a good communication with there customer about bugs and new functionality. Then I think this ZipaBox can be very good and wundeful litle box!
And that was the reason for me to buy ZipaBox!
And please Zipato: don't ignore your customers, use this forum for communication... To make ZipaBox better!

Agree to the most of your comments and hope as well that the next release will cover a stabile release. The things I miss the most are:
- An iPhone/ipad app that supports:
- camera widget With pan/tilt
- meter sensors shown (incl http meters)
- Http meter/switches in "rooms"
- Events shown with correct status (eg. true = open
- sensor icons displayed
- latest event sorting
- remote/local login
- Status of Zipabox (online/offline) to know if status are correctly updated
- geolocation trigger for http request (arriving home)
Dashboard / puzzle:
- Dynamic http request values/state from eg sensor
- Dynamic http request XML translator/mapping to cope with eg netatmo

I don't agree. I think Zipato is doing a great job and doesn't ignore there customers. Almost all my questions have been answered or solved. And yes there are some nice to have things and yes the uptime most be solved.
So be patient and let Zipato keep on doing a great job or switch to Fibaro. (Just look at there forum and see how great job they are doing).

Missunderstanding, sorry For That! I Really think zipato is doing a wonderfull work and totaly agree With you That competitors are much worse.
The only thing i wrote was a Wishlist For the future! Like we all have. :)

But I don't agree with you about answering... most of thing posted is left without any response (but they probobly read and take notice without responding in this forum)
The things they answer is usualy things that is a problem they can solve directly...

Complete documentation with parameterization of all devices would be useful. And all options Alarms ... and many other things.
A true online documentation on the site ZIPATO for easy updates.
