SOMFY PAIRING PROBLEM
Hello everyone,
I have 433MHZ module and somfy RTS roller shutter :
With this procedure :
Inclusion with Zipato Controller (433Mhz protocol)
1. Prior inclusion with Zipato controller your Somfy RTS motor needs to be put into the learning mode
2.
To set the device in learning mode press and hold reset button on the
backside of Somfy Remote controller until the RTS motor jogs shortly
down & up
3. Start inclusion of Somfy RTS on Zipato controller via "Add new device" button
4. Find "Somfy" brand/logo and select Somfy RTS in the "Add new device wizard"
5. Click "Continue" button in "Add new device wizard"
6.
After you click the "Continue" button your Somfy RTS motor will jog
shortly down & up to confirm inclusion with Zipato controller
My problem is that roller don't confirm with a jog ma pairing but zipato control board write module find and it is OK for him ??!! I try to continue and put time for up and down --> don't work and try in normal or reverse --> don't work .
After few minutes , roller jog to say that it go out of pairing mode .
So my opinion is that zipabox don't send information to roller that it found it .
Have you an idea ?

I just had help from an angel, I was about to send the module return to the shop, but than Mr. Vedran Brundic picked this problem up and succeeded with him to control the somfy engine togheter with the zipato box.
Thanks to his maintenance it hase succeeded.
As I understand the biggest problem was the firmware of the module 433.
Vedran made an update and then with me step by step we connected the somfy engine with the zipatobox.
Big thumbs up for this championship.

This problem will be definitely solved

you need to reset the motor back to default first, then set the limits, then include into the zipabox.

Well to be honest.. I have bought it only for the somfy rts motor... So i don't have other devices that needs the 433

Firmware is 1.0.17 up-to-date

First of all, I think, if I am not wrong, that the latest beta should be 1.0.19 or higher, so you should both try to upgrade. Also, I would like to confirm that the box, after you upgrade, really sends the learn command to Somfy during discovery. In that order, I invite you both to send me your Zipabox serial numbers at zcerovski@3plus.hr.
Unfortunatelly, I can only check if the box (box firmware) sends the command, but can not confirm that the 433 module (its firmware) sends the same in the air. And since you both have no 433 transmitter devices, I won't be able to confirm if the 433 module works fine.

Thank you for the info... I have made an update now to 1.0.19 removed the module from zipatobox...
Than made a extra factory reset on the somfy rts device..
Than made the pairing again with zipatobox.... Zipatobox is finding it after 1 second.. But still no jug from the somfy motor..
But still no response when i use the controles

Please, note that 433 MHz devices communicate only in one direction, they can be either a transmitter or a receiver which means they can either send packages to Zipabox or receive them from Zipabox and not both. This is why 433MHz devices are added and visible on Zipabox even if the inclusion was unsuccessful. In your case, the somfy shutter is a receiver and the inclusion will always be successful even if your shutter didn't received anything from the controller and it's not operational. I hope you all understand this...

Our team made an additional check of Somfy inclusion process. They didn't find any issues and every inclusion has finished successfully.
They reported us that is highly important that your Somfy device is properly reset to factory default settings and configured before you start inclusion process.

Just maybe, maybe: Is the distance between the zipabox and your somfy screen too large? Try to use the box close to the screen and see if that works.

So distance is not the problem. Can't you return the 433 module to your dealer to verify it is working? Yesterday i tried to pair another somfy shutter and did this without a problem. With the latest firmware. As the shutter is not the problem and the zipabox as well my wild guess is the there is not a good 433 signal from your433 module.

Could be. Both the box and the 433 Mhz module have their own firmware. But when you do a firmware update i thinkthat both firmwares are updated (but i am not sure about this: ask zipato.
When i bought this box some 2 years ago there was also an issue with the 433 MHz module. Support fixed that for me. Since then I did not have any problem.
Why don't you open a ticket at support and ask them to check your 433-firmware?
There is always the chance there was a production error in the 433-modules.

Just to confirm, as I also observed the same issue. Following zipato support advise, I did a firmware update, which also updated the one from the 433 module. This allowed recovering the sofmy pairing & control.

My problem is solved thanks to Vedran from TEAM ZIPATO .
It is come from my box and not the module , hardware error on my box !
With discussion and test session , Vedran could detect the problem, and He find a way within a reconfiguration of the slot 1 to be functionnal with the 433MHz module !!!
My shutters works with the module !!!
