Sonos and Yale Lock?
Need Answer
Hi All,
I have just received Zipabox and very excited to get it all up and running with my lighting. I have a Z wave Yale lock (YD-01-CON-CH) and a couple of Sonos Speakers (Play3 and Playbar). Neither of the two devices seem to want to connect to my zipabox. Is it just a case of trying it a couple of times till it works?

Hello Joe,
First make sure your box has the latest official firmware (1.1.34), if its not, then go to controller settings and update it. I have a couple yale locks and they work just fine, the only problem you might be having is the distance, if the lock is to far from the zipabox you might have to bring the zipabox very close to the lock temporarily, while the inclusion process is being done, then you can take the zipabox back to its original place, make sure you run a zwave network heal (gear box icon on zwave network three on device manager).
In order to add sonos to your system you need to have the PRO licence, if you already have one, your zipabox and sonos speakers must be connected to the same local network. If you have both and still cannot add to the system I would recommend you to open a ticket on https://support.zipato.com/.

Alberto, are you sure this is correct? I understood that 3 different networks are included in the basic version and that you need Pro Upgrade only after that. Joe has Z-Wave and Sonos. That should be fine without the need to buy Pro.

So my zipabox was not upgrading the firmware. Would run the whole process then say "unsuccessful". Tried several different things and finally decided to change the ethernet cable from the one that was supplied with the box to a "beefer" one I had lying around.
Worked a treat.
