Sonos integration

Allow Zipato to send Text to Speech to customers own Sonos systems, as both Homeseer and Mi Casa Verde owners can

Here is an idea that i have tested out after doing some findings on the internet.
Works like a shark.
- Install the Php scripts on your web server
- Update the config file with Php IP and Sonos IP
- Call the script sonos.php using a URL like
http://x.x.x.x:yy/sonos/sonos.php?message=Zipato rocks&volume=50&force_unmute=1
- The variabel Message will contain the text to be used meanwhile volume and force_unmute are just what they tells.
The script will connect Google TTS and translate the text to English (Can be changed) and created as a MP3 file. (If the text is already translated it will not occur again for performance reasons). All files stored under Audio folder.
Then the MP3 file will be played in your sonos system.

I've configured an android tablet with "Tasker" and "auto remote".
A virtual switch execute an http request, auto remote sent it to my tablet, and tasker read the dedicate text or the recorded text directly through bluetooth to my hifi.
Great to notify the alarm change, read the meteo at the morning, respond at my door when I'm not at home or to warn unauthorized visitor...

Has anyone got this to work? I got the .mp3 files, but it's not played back in Sonos.

a bloody tutorial is asking too much to zipato?????
whats the point to invest so much money on zipato and getting no instructions??

I think you are mixing up here a little. The Zipato Sonos app is only to control Sonos devices.
This tread is a solution to get Sonos devices to play TTS messaging with HTTP request:)
But it had been great if they could include this function in the box:)!

yes sorry i mixed up but so much confusion they mke these Zipato people.
If there is a new feature in Zipato, there MUST be a manual associated with it...
