sound notification when alarm entry or exit delay is triggered

Under Consideration

Hello,

I want to share an idea.

When my alarm is set you hear the squawk beep once.

but I have an entry delay of 30 seconds to enter the house and disarm the alarm.

now there is no sound notification how much time there is left to disarm the alarm.

as shown in this youtube video around 3 minutes.

magnetic sensor is triggered, and the device starts beeping. untill you disarm the alarm.

I have a support ticket open for this issue. but I wanted to share this with others. maybe there are more people interested.

Hi,

I had the same question, I just bought a Zipato Keypad but it's buzzer does not act as a time-in / time out buzzer.

I used a workaround with 3 rules and a Fibaro Wall plug. Plugged a lamp in it for tests purposes, I will use a buzzer or flash light later if it works as I want.

Tempo OUT : When arming system, wall plug is activated for 14s.

Tempo IN : When system is armed, opening the door will trigger the WallPlug for 14s. If no disarm command : alarm.

Bypass : Will switch the WallPlug Off when system receives Disarm command between 0 and 14s.

Not a very "clean" solution as it requires a Zwave plug or relay, a little bit of wiring and some extra stuff (a buzzer, a flash, ) but it does the game.

Hope this helps,

and you did set an entrty and exit delay in the alarm? or any zones?

because if you have a zone with the door sensor it will trigger the alarm or it will set the entry delay.

how did you set up your alarm?

but still, it is a dirty solution.

but! a answer from support:

We will also introduce in the Rules creator a function which will allow to the end user to crate his/her own notification for entry/exit delay for e.g. with lights and etc.

so there is hope on the horizon.

Entry and exit delay are set in the Partition and I use the same value in the rules.

The Zone type has to be set as "Perimeter" for the delays to be functional.

If lights modules already exist on the Zipa, they can also be used to "show" the out or in delays without extra stuff.

Of course, the new function mentioned in support would be easier and cleaner.

However, a trigger will still be necessary (light or buzzer).
