Please make full support for this great device...

Greenwave Reality Powernodes

The manual is here:

Also more info:

On/Off works and also can add it without problems. I see the power values but they are not right.

I bought it here:

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for the reply. I know that u are very bussy and doing a great job to make the zipabox the best product on the market. I want to thank you for that.

Offcourse support for this products would make it a very very very good product :) and put u in front of the competitors.

And also make a lot of dutch fans very happy :)

So i hope that you can make a little bit off time available to support this product.

Hi,

I am considering to purchase a zipabox based on the screenshots from the previous post from HeroS.

However, I am a bit confused. 0.9.986 seems to be the latest release with release notes. The screenshot refers to 0.9.987 and I cannot find release notes stating that this 6-socket powerstrip is supported.

Can you confirm it is fully working?

Including the correct measuring of power usage per socket?

Does it automatically detect the correct setup or do you need to tweak a lot?

Thanks for the info.

The adding of new devices has ussually nothing todo with the firmware. New devices are added on daily basis without the upgrade of the firmware. Only if the device has special things or problems the firmware needs to be upgraded.

Yes, it's working but not fully support.

Only port 1 is giving real time power metings the other ports 2 to 6 and the main port are giving the power ever 15 min.

Zipato is working on full support but Greenwave needs to give the right info to make it work 100%.

Also note that some users are having problems that port 2 to 6 are not showing the power meters and there are also reports of not showing the right watts.

But it's great value for money even without the power meters!

Still a few small questions left.

- "Greenwave needs to give the right info to make it work 100%" may suggest that Greenwave perhaps does not want to give the information and that it may never be 100% supported. Is this correct? If you were to make a bet, what would you guess will be the outcome?

- Is the metering of the total power consumption of all 6 sockets reliable? (is the "main port" the same as the whole device?)

- Currently I am only interested in metering power consumption. Is this the device to buy or are there better supported alternatives? (even if it is 1 socket)

Thanks

I don't know if they want to give the info and yes without the right info the support won't be 100% support.

I don't know yet but on other systeem it's not right (has to be tweaked).

I think the Fibaro Power Plug is better.

Hi HeroS,

I'm glad to have found this thread. I am Dutch too, and I recently started with the Nuon/Greenwave Reality solution, but I find it too limited, and brand locked-in. So I have (almost) decided that do I need to go a step further. Although I am not looking for a new full-time hobby, or too many headaches.

Does the Zipato still not fully support the Greenwave 6x powernode? (it can't be too difficult with protocol sniffing/reverse engineering). Do the Zipato guys actually have one?

Another question, would you still recommend the Zipato to me? I bought the eManager with P1 connector and also some Powernodes on Marktplaats. I'm thinking of buying more from Nuon (they are still the only ones in the world who sell them).

Regards, Nick

And one more question!

If I take the Zipato, get rid of the eManager, how do I get my P1 smartmeter-readings into the Zipato?

Hi,

There is full support but the power meters are not working good/don't give the right value. Also only port 1 is giving real time information other ports only update around 10 min.

Yes, zipato has one. (i have send them one)

Yes, i would recommend the zipabox but it is not plug and play. No domotica syteem is plug and play.

There's no zwave P1 reading device (not that i know). You can use Rasberry Pi for this but this is not easy getting the values in to the box.

Zipato is working on a power module/expansion but there is no more information on this devices yet. It's coming.

Yes, we do have the power node strip, courtesy of HeroS. But the problem is that i don't have the proper documentation to make it report proper meter readings on all channels.

I have already sent two email to the manufacturer and i still got no response.

But i believe that i can make it work even without the documentation, it just required extra effort. I will make it work, sooner or later.

Hi,

There is full support but ...

Thank you very much for your answers!

I made the decision and bought a Zipato + some multi sensors and plugs and a switch from http://www.domotica-shop.nl in Harderwijk (very kind and helpful guys).

You'll be hearing more from me on this forum, and also at tweakers.nl. I hope to be helpful as well as demanding to Zipato and other users.

So far all is going well, including migrating the Greenwave single powernodes. Now for the 6x powernodes...

One thing that rather shocked me is the pricing of the extra services! One HUNDRED euros a year for a little extra service?? Not that I have found a need for them yet, but I suppose I will eventually. Those prices are ridiculous in my view.

Cheers, Nick

What is the status of this?

I have 2 devices, and I noticed the power measurements are unreliable and the main switch doesn't switch all devices, but just 1 socket.

Any updates?

I'm a newbie but can anyone tell me step by step how to add a greenwave device (1 or 6 powerplug) in zipato.

I do also have problem with the Power measure dont show right value.

My powernode shows values that seem correct for switch1-6 but the main switch shows the same value as switch1.
