Is there anyway to integrate a Texecom Premier Alarm Panel to Zipabox?

Currently we don't support this alarm panel. There are few ways how alarm panes can be supported:

- full support by using RS232/485 connection between Zipabox and alarm panel (for this you need security module or new version of backup module). This way Zipato can arm and disarm the system, bypass zones, get states of each zones...

- low level support by using Z-wave contact sensor connected to alarm PG output, this way alarm panel will send signal to Zipabox in case of any alarm and Zipabox will be transfer the message to the customer (send the message, trigger the rule...).

We are close to opting for Zipato for our new-build in the UK. it would be a mix of two or three ziaptiles and zipabox/modules, plus gate intercom, lots of switch/dimmer modules, about 8 Nest thermostats (for zoning!) and so on. Unfortunately 6 wired alarm zones will not be enough so we need to integrate a separate alarm system/panel. Can you explain exactly how an unsupported alarm, like the Texecom (or DSC), could be integrated using RS232/485? Would this involve coding skills or can it all be done within the Zipato control panel?

Thank you for the swift response.

I have the protocols needed to arm/dis-arm/part-arm etc for the panel. is there an API i could use to integrate it myself if i wanted to.

If the protocols are for the serial communication, than we need to add support for it. If the protocol is for the IP communication than you can probably use http requests which are available withing a rule creator...

I also have a texecom premier 48 alarm system, which i would like to integrate with a controller. There are other controller with which you can integrate texecom, but if Zipato was able to communicate with this alarm system this would be a big seller to a lot of us.
