Virtual Alarms?

I noticed today that there is a new Virtual Battery Alarm? What is this linked to?

There seems to be no configurable endpoints. If it is linked to the Zipatile battery, does it work for mains power for the Zipabox?

Also noticed today that the Virtual Alarm used to be a 2 state alarm, now it seems to be the same as a Alarm Pro. The basic 2 state Virtual Alarm has handy, can we get this back?

Hi Adrian, me and Alberto are using the virtual battery alarm. It's main purpose supposed to be to warn you if any battery operated device is running low on battery, however it is currently not working fully. To be honest the only thing it does at the moment, is warning me that my zipatile went offline and online.

In the configurations there are option you can select when to warn you (including desired battery level), but no good yet. It is there for nearly 6 month now, but not fully implemented...

Om unsure about your meaning on the 2 state alarm. I dont see anything different with the alarm.

Yes I figured as much about the battery alarm. Another half implemented device.

The Alarm: There is a Virtual Alarm and the Virtual Alarm Pro. I just tried adding a Virtual alarm to my controller and found that it adds the same functionality as a Pro version. Unless the config has changed in the last couple of months and I was not aware, but a Virtual Alarm used to add the same as a "Elderly" or "Safety" Partition on a Zipatile. 2 states avtive and inactive. Now when I add a Virtual Alarm I get the same as the Pro Arm Home, Arm Away and Disarm. Any one else getting this?

I was not aware of this. For me when adding a virtual alarm, always behaved like adding a vistual alarm pro. Im talking about the web UI.

Hi Adrian,

As Attila mentions and you already experimented Battery Alarm only let's you know about online/offline status of controllers, yes, another half implementation. Regarding the Virtual Alarm and Virtual Alarm Pro, is being a while since I experimented with both and if I recall correctly there were very few differences, Arm States as far as I remember always have been the same for both (HOME/AWAY/DISARMED/TRIPPED), the only difference I recall is the ability to send push notifications (PRO) and I think also multisiren, it's been two years almost since I used Virtual Alarm, I looked into creating now a Virtual Alarm and seems pretty much the same to Virtual Alarm PRO, don't know what the actual difference is now, maybe we would have to ask Zipato.
