I'm new in the community. I wanted if we could create a virtual button to control shutters. a virtual button with two or three positions, other than on / off. thank you.

I am controlling my shutters with the remote linked to an ipx800.

I have set up different levels by counting seconds between move and stop actions.I created virtual dimmers to control them by setting up 5 levels:0%25%50%75%100%When I set the virtual dimmer between 0 and 17% it will set the 0% levelbetween 18 and 37% it sets 25% etc...I suppose that you are using some zwave shutters controlers (which is even better and more accurate so you can easilly configure a rule to act like this.

in fact, I use a module Fibaro 2 outputs 1.5 kilowatts to order shutters somfy. the same principle as you but with modules Fibaro. How do you know if you have to climb or descend to get to the position you want (25%, 50% ...).

I save every position in a virtual sensor

Virtual sensor is configured this way:

Shutter 1 https://my.zipato.com/zipato-web/........

Shutter 2 https://my.zipato.com/zipato-web/......

Then I use it within my rules

I counted how many seconds it takes to move from every position to any other.

It was kinda hard work and it needs a lot of rules .One rule by level and by shutter, so for my case: 5 x 6 = 30 rules + some group selections like living room's shutters (5 more rules) and all shutters (5 more rules again).

But it totally worth it because I can set different positions for all my shutters.

this is really impressive this rule.

I'm not sure I can do it again.

It took me more than 10 hours to set up the rules, but it is only a matter of logic and patience ;)
