Virtual wind speed doesn't work

Need Answer

I am trying to create a rule that enables me to automatically close windscreens based on the wind speed from the virtual weather station.

I thing my rules should work, but the virtual switch doesn't change state.

I edited the value of the windspeed to 15 in both rules to force a switch, but nothing happens. What is wrong?

I added 3 attachments.

Hardewind_aan displays the rule to set a virtual switch to ON if windspeed => 23kph

Hardewind_uit displays the rule to set a virtual switch to OFF if windspeed <23kph

Weerstatus_actueel displays the current windspeed

Can somebody please help me with this issue?

How can I change the state of a virtual switch with the Wind Speed of a virtual weather station?

Rules look good.

I think the issue is the virtual weatherstation is not updating. If you look at the last time it was synced, it was on the 26th Jan. We have all had big issues with virtual weatherstations. I looked on wunderground, as this is what Zipato use, and found the closest most up to date and regularly updated station to use. Or else try wunderground via IFTTT, this works better.

I already changed to the Schiphol and Berkhout weatherstations.

There are official KNMI weatherstations at these locations and they seem to update more frequent at least that is what the Virtual Weatherstation shows in the GUI.

I only managed to receive a few actions the past 20 or so days, so the rules seem to work, but the data seems wrong.

Rules are good,

However its is what Adrian said in his comment: the virtual station is updated a few times a day. Yestday ii created a rule with: when windspeedkmph>0 email sendmessage. Until now (24 hours later) i received only 6 or 7 emails.

For the reason of securing your screens i is not a safe method i.e. the chance of detecting a thunderstorm is not likely.

As what Adrian said use wunderground or buy yourself a weatherstation with an outside windspeedmeter.

My dad owns a weatherstation that is reporting to Wunderground every 5 minutes and he lives about 1.5km's away, so I prefer to use his weatherstation. I use Wunderground API with PVoutput.org to get temperature readings with my solar readings.

I don't know how to use IFTTT with Wunderground from the Zipabox.

I'll try to google for some info, but if someone can provide me with some examples I would be a happy guy!
