Where is the "Local Connection" option Android UI V3.0.3

In the previous Andriod UI version you would tap the down arrow from the login screen and this would list out locally found Zipaboxes

With the V3.0.3 update, that option has gone - yet the release notes say that the local connection has been "fixed"?

Where is it please?

Thanks

Hi Muriel,

Yes, the arrow down is still there on the login screen, but when you tap the Arrow Down, the next screen just has "Remote Connection" at the top (see pic). It used to allow us to choose "Local Connection"

Hi Muriel,

I am "local" to my Ziapbox. I am on the same network.

I have waited hours.

I have even tried to reboot.

My WiFi is OK because other devices can connect and have network bandwidth without issue.

As far as I can see, all the "conditions" are indeed met - hence the question. What happened?

I also have a Ziptab and have updated that to the latest version of the UI software. This too connects via the same network and also does NOT have a "Local" option.

What could this be?

Thanks

Oh yes, and having a Zipatab "without" a "Local" option is pretty bad for me...

Hi Muriel,

OK I see - but when will that be released?

My box is (.3a) and it tells me it is "up to date" so how is it possible to get .3c and get Local access working ?

Hi Marcus,

You can update to beta firmware through API (go to firmware, expand /firmware/upgrade/beta, click GET).

@Tomislav, Beta? is that a wise thing when my Zipabox is my security system?
