While building a rule, what are the possible actions on the thermostat

In the rule creator, we can select actions on a thermostat. Where could we find the explanation of the various actions available:

* Auto - I guess this is to put the thermostat in 'automatic' mode

* Heat, Cool, Hold, Holduntil, off - there are the same actions as the buttons we have in the thermostat itself (but we cannot specify any value for these actions in the rule creator, except for the 'heat' action)

* Mode - no idea how to use it ?

* Preset - no idea how to use it ?

* Value - no idea how to use it ?

Is there any documentation on this somewhere?

What I am really interested in to know, is if I can activate the climate module in 'until next period' mode. So I can override the climate module when motion in the room is detected, but fall back on the default values set in de climate module afterwards. Or could I accomplish thisby just setting it back to 'Auto' when motion is no longer detected?

Does anybody know if this is possible now?

Well, as you can see after a year it is still not explained so it is only a try-and-error...

It seems that "attribute events" of the thermostat plugin don't trigger a "When" block. Can somebody confirm this.

Thx

* Mode - auto, heat and off

* Preset - You have set some values for the day, night, away, or confort, so you can call them

* Value - Its the value of the temperaturetu you want to have
