Wireless range problem module Z-Wave

I'm having problems with wireless range of Fibaro modules.

With your experience, what is the best way to integrate the Z-wave modules?

Should we put them in their final placement, and integration with the Zipabox, or integrate near the box, then move next?

Does the meshing is dynamic and adapts to the movement of the modules, and adapts the routing ?

Thanks.

Get them close to the box when joining. When joined put them in there final place.

Don't know the answer for sure. But i think it adapts.

I have a garden shed in brick distant of 20meters from the house. In this shed, I have a Fibaro FGS221 1 v2.1 and a FGBS321 v2.1.

In the house I have zipabox.

The FGS221 module is always offline, and I had trouble to activate the outputs.

The FGBS321 module is always "!" But it still sends temperatures of 2 Dallas one wire.

I moved several times zipabox, from basement to attic, garden side, but I still have problems with wireless range.

I wanted to try to extend at least one antenna of a Fibaro, for better reception.

Have a look here:

Another way is to place a device somewhere in the middle to act as repeater.

Hello,

I succeeded to increase the wireless range of my Fibaro FGS221, by welding an old 900Mhz GSM antenna (with 3m cable 50ohms) on the original antenna wire. The response time of the module is better, and i have no message like offline or !.

Thanks.
