Solved

Hello, I have securely connected a new Zigbee Module to my Zipabox. When I will add a new device then I got an error: You don't have selected network. I have reset the Zipabox 2 times and loaded the latest software (0.9.993) but nothing helps. What goes wrong.

Can you try to logout and login again from the web UI? If the problem persist, let us know your credentials on hello@zipato.com.

The problem still exist after logout and login again.

After mailing the credentials of my account, they check on my'ne box and it seems the box does not see the Zigbee module at all. The Zipato engineers will check this out tomorrow and will come back to me.

Today, the problem is solved.

Thanks for the quick respons and helping me to solve this problem.

I have also bought a Zigbee module. I connected it and followed the instructions but can't see it.

Also do I have to have a hue bridge to connect the hue bulb?

Nothing is plug and play is its:-(

Best regards!

You need the Hue Bridge for hue lighting to work. Told you to go Osram Lightify, this works without a bridge. I also have the same problem with expansion modules not showing up. I have installed a few boxes now and all but one have this issue. Always have to contact support.

So they have to add the module manually? That is not a good system? That was not good, the seller told me to shoos philips.

And the ZigBee module dose not work and Zipato is not answering. Fantastic.

I thought that it is only if I want special functions I have to buy Hue Bridge. Then the question is what do I do. Buy a hue bring and Zipato hue suport or a Lightify lamp?

A lot of money to have one RGB bulb to work?

With HUE you always need a bridge. Yes, phlips uses the Zigbee protocol but they build their own protocol around it.

This has nothing to do with Zipato.

If you want a "cheap" RGBW bulb just get the Zipato or Aeon labs version.

Hue is like Milight. Milight is advertised as WiFi, but you need the wifi box to control the light with the phone. So hue is not really zigbee, but own protocol...it is a marketing trick. And this trick got you...

Unfortunately Zipato does not support plugins. That would make it different as you could use Milight (LiFX, easybulb,...) which is a lot cheaper RGBW system. Vera does. Shame this cannot be implemented...

Hi Ivan,

How about Milight/LiFX/Easybulb support? Can It be considered?

LIFX can be controlled by http API commands, works great but not so easy to implement. If you only need on/off, scenes and basic stuff it can be done without much effort. Also the IR LEDs of the new LIFX+ bulbs can be controlled that way, this is (for the moment) not even possible with the LIFX app.

BTW: LIFX is now delivering from an hub in the Netherlands, so no more import taxes and VAT if you live in the EU!
