Might be that it was happening because the server was unavailable and that it was just coincidence that it happens the day after you have updated. More people had that issue this morning, but since a few minutes the server seems to be back online.

past few weeks, my.zipato.com often unavailable. The situation is very painful. You should examine the request:

You should offer the purchase of a new module to be my.zipato.com locally without internet

There was some cash issue on the server which affected some customers.

@Jerome. I don't know what do you mean by often unavailable? There were few upgrades of the server system during the last two weeks, which were require restart. Otherwise, we didn't have any significant interruptions for a while now.

Don't worry about it too much Sebastian. If it's the same Jerome as on the fibaro-forum he is just one of those people that bashes a manufacturer on the internet at every possible opportunity, without providing any constructive feedback.

So, I have a question. If the server is anavailable, does it means we cannot control our devices ?

I'm sure that is not the case and the Zipabox is able to guarantee that the owner can control with ou without Internet connexion/zipato server/etc.

Could you explain how it's works?

Thank you

William

Hans van Brakel, In fact, I stopped working with the HC2 because I'm not a beta tester but a customer who uses automation in a production environment. For the moment the zipbox was much more reliable, but in recent weeks the quality decreased (my.zipato.com unavailable or slow, rules blocked after an update for 10 days)Hope that the quality is again present in the coming days.

@ Jerome. Each time when we deploy any fix or upgrade on the server we do restart the server. This happens almost each day but during the last two weeks it was a bit more often as we were changing the major component of our system. We were replacing our comet with Atmosphere, for the communication between the server and the client (browsers). This should significantly decrease the need for the "refreshing of browser". Anyway, it was the reason of the more restarts in the last few weeks than ordinary.

@ Everybody. Zipato system is consist of two major parts, Zipabox and Zipato severs. Zipabox is running the pre-compiled script (which was previously compiled in the cloud upon customization) without the cloud support, which means there are no servers, nor Internet connection needed for the rules, scenarios or alarm functions. Other words, Zipato cloud is only needed for the configuration of the system and monitoring of the system, and there is no functionality problem in case we do the restart besides that some customer which currently customizing the system, will be shortly interrupted. Of course, it should not be done to often, but anyway, it doesn't hurt the basic usage of the system.

@Hans and William. Your problem (which you are experiencing during the last few days) was caused by completely different issue, probably related with the new firmware of the box, and it is not related with the today's interruption.

@Everybody. We do appreciate all your comments as they are helping us a lot to improve the system every day. There are a lot more things which we need to introduce in the future and your help will be certainly appreciated. Thanks.

In Holland we have a saying: you are more likely to catch flies using honey than with vinegar (come to think of it, this may sound like a quote from the 80's movie with the bullied kid that defeats his bullies by learning how to wax cars, but it's actually a saying in our country ;)).

Though there is often a truth in your posts, they are very negative at the same time. I'm not saying that we shouldn't complain if something isn't working as it should. Especially when important features of the Zipabox don't work when the server is offline, which, as you have shown has happened more than once the past month. But even then there are numerous ways in which you can express your annoyance.

Zwave just isn't a mature eco-system at this point, not with Fibaro, not with Zipato and not with Vera. If you can't handle that, then just go with KNX.
