Hi there,


Trying to register new Zipatile


Issues:


- Cannot register device: “start zipatile app first”

- Updated app to 2.1.2 new error: “no virtual network” on phonenumber

- Why do you have different accounts for: - myzipato, forum, support?


Not a very good start…


Can you assist me?

new zipatile. do not try to register first. Go straight to the app section. OTA Upgrade app and upgrade. Once finished go to app repo and upgrade everything. Then restart and register.

I had major issues registering all new z-wave/zigbee Zipatiles without upgrading first.

I have a completly new and up to date Zipatile which I try to correctly register for a week. Storage is busy for 30-40 minutes, ant the next attempt stays at <Enetr your phone number> for 15 minutes. It says that is successfuly registered but on the WebUI it say <Go to the Zipatile and chose the default connection> so on, so on...After it regsiters, just a part of devices are shown in the Device Manager even for all of them the Show as device box is cheked. I run a conversation with Stefan from the support team but we cannot find a solution. We wiped out the box from the system several times. We have done a factory reset 4 times. Sometimes none the internal devices ar shown, now just a part of them. I have to install dozens of them next month. I never encountered such a behavior till now. I've lost a week on a single Zipatile.

For me its now about 4 weeks. It won't go further than my email and password, then it gives failed to register.

Thanks Adrian, thing is the firmware is up to date and all apps are upgraded, really weird that is so difficult to register a new product. And being cloud based is is currently useless...

Dear Laszlo,


You don't need to type phone number and location because this settings are already on the server when you first register your Zipatile. After you type your username and password your should leave it till sync pass.


But because you go trough this settings few time you need to clear local cache on your Zipatile.

Go to settings -> app -> Zipato -> clear cache, clear data, force stop -> restart Zipatile.

After next reboot type only your username and password. When wizard will ask you for phone number minimize wizard (home button - bottom circle in center of the screen ).


We will go through this procedure together over ticketing system. I type this solution for others who might have this issue and they are searching for answer over internet.


If this does not work there can be other issues related to network restriction from your side or etc.

For any type of registration problem we recommend to open support ticket.

Nope, after username (email) and password the system keeps on with a turning circle never ends.

On the Control Center on my computer i got the message: Zipatile setup is Incomplete please finish the setup of your Zipatile first.

But that is inpossible because it hangs after name and password. I tried it on the network else (someone from my work but there also the same).

we will fix your issue but please in the future when you post your data etc. use the 'Submit ticket' option.

You need to raise a support ticket not a community ticket.

What you can do is to factory reset the zipatile on the zipatile (not the webui) and then:

  1. Restart zipatile
  2. connect to wifi in android settings
  3. check for any updates in the app repo and upgrade anything you have there
  4. once done, on the zipatile start the registration process (phone number, location)

Dont register the zipatile on the WebUI as it will not go though fine (based on my experience). You need to do all on the zipatile. Once done you can log in to web ui and it will tell you that you need to set default connection. So go to the controller setting and select WiFi require and WiFi default and remove Ethernet required.

The zipatile work....... but the status on the zipatile is bleu not green color

Yes, this is what you need. This means that the zipatile fron-end zipato app is locally connected to the back-end.

Job done, you are good to go.
