Zipato Mini Keypad

Thomas shared this idea 8 years ago
Under Consideration

I am trying to use the Mini Keypad with key tags in my Zipato alarm setup. And to be honest - it really is quite frustrating to work with.

Does anybody know how I change the key tag from one user to another?

And how I remove a key tag from the system?

Kind regards,

Thomas

You can change a user here, but the user has to be set up first.

Then choose config:

42ca82ff83dc891ee26a21e8a2c6245e

Then use drop down to choose another user:

Not sure how to "remove" a tag. I would just choose the blank space instead of a user.....

(@DarkWing, I see from your Snip that you're using a ThermoFloor InWall Thermostat. Would you mind sharing the Rules you've set up with this device so I and others may learn? (Sorry to write here and clutter this topic, but found no way to contact directly via this forum)

Hi,

sure no problem.

I added a virtual device first > Virtual thermostat pro

Then you can give in the inputs and outputs (input would be your Thermofloor in wall thermostat. Output and thermometer would be same.

so like:

Then after this has been added, you go to the device browser and select "climate" and click config.

There you can give in the parameters on when the heating will be active and at which temp. Also you can make changes to the devices.

you can set comfort, economy, night and away...... then in the above timetable you make the blocks the same color as to which one you want. So in mine it switches on at 04:00 till 08:00 on comfort. Then from 08:00 till 22:00 it runs on economy. Then after till 04:00 on night. You can also set your holidays etc...

Hi Darkwing,

Thanks for the samples. I had added the physical thermostat, and couldn't understand why I could not control it, and was looking all over for some control mechanisms. Reviewing your example, I now understand that the InnWall Bathroom Floor Thermostat device itself is treated merely as a combined thermometer and electrical switch, and that these devices must be connected to a virtual device which controls the thing...

indeed. Works great though.

For anybody troubled with the same issue....

The only way to eliminate a connection between a user and a key tag is to delete user and create him/her again afterwards.

It works - but the keypad is not implemented good enough into the Zipato system. Also considering that it is Zipatos own brand.
