No connection

The great feature of the Zipatab is how it connects to the wall and automatically charges.
You must have a "standard" electrical box with Live and Neutral going to the box.
Inside this wall box is attached the tablet connector. This allows the Zipatab to connect magnetically and charge at the same time.
The end result is very neat indeed.
Since it is a standard Android tablet, you "could" use if for other purposes and install anything you want form the PlayStore (eg Imperihome). The final installation looks really cool as a wall mounted tablet because there are not additional wires or connections visible.
The Zipatab differs from every other android tablet in that it is a z-wave controller all on its own. However, I have not really found that feature to be beneficial to my setup.
Remember that in the UK under part P of the electrical building regulations, any electrical work that changes what is already in place, must be certified by a suitably qualified electrician. If you ever sold your house then the conveyancing lawyer would need those certificates.

I have already a Zipabox duo at home, what kind of benefits can be expected with the controller that is included in the Zipatab. E.g. will it work as a backup for the Zipabox, or will it work as a repeater etc.?
