ZWNTUT, when to use different power options?

Need Answer

Is being a while since ZWNTUT is working on Zipato controllers, which is an improved version of z-wave network fix, I'm having some issues with one devices and I was wondering what is the practical effect of the different power options (Normal Power, -5dbm, etc.) and when are these options to be used?

In my understanding it is changing the power in which the controller tries to talk to the device, but is it more powerful, less??

Alberto, I would also expect it would be reducing the power when "lowering the value" and the same logic is explained on wikipedia. Im also unsure, why this would be useful.

Power level determines transmit power when controller is searching for direct neighbor nodes.

Theoretically this can be used to influence which devices are considered direct neighbor nodes and which are not.

Marko,

Thanks for the reply, so if we reduce the power we reduce the "perimeter" of which devices are considered direct neighbors?

Yes.
