Group Bulbs to Lamp

Level1-Base shared this idea 8 years ago
Under Consideration

Hi all,

quick question: I have a Zipabox with several bulbs 'Osram Lightify PAR 16 50 Tunable White'. I would like to group five of those bulbs to be able to control a lamp in my kitchen. As those bulbs are dimmable, it would be great if we could maintain that function. Ideally, I would have one device called 'KitchenLamp' that allows me to a) turn on / off and b) set the dimm level of the five bulbs.

I am beginner at Zipato so that it might be an easy one for you guys to answer it. I am quite frustrated because I got the hint to use a virtual switch and the rule creator but I wasn't able to get it work. I would highly appreciate if somebody could give me very specific advice.

Thanks a lot and all the best

Decide a dimmer that you hopefully have, to be the master controller for the rest of the lights. Like I have done with the lights in the living room(Qubino dimmer).

Create a rule with the dimmer that change value of a variable. You can cal the variable what ever you want.

Let this Variable control the group of lights. Something like this:

sorry wrong info, you need to create a virtual level control, make it a light instead of http device, and use the set puzzle not the action puzzle. You can do the same for colour intensity

But then it is hard to control with a button on the wall?

Hi,

thanks for your reply. That sounds really good. I tried to rebuild it. Unfortunately, it doesnt work :-/

Below my latest rule. I tried hundreds of variations. There must be one error in it that I cant find. Any idea?

Thanks a lot!

Use ImperiHome. There you can use composit widgets. That mean you can add several lamps under one dimmer. I have tested it with several lamps works. You even can compose ligthify and hue lamps together with z-wave dimmers.

Sadly the Dimming of ImperiHome is not a perfect solution.

Tried it and liked it a lot!

But the interface is still a lite dumb that you have to precisely hit the dimmer knob, otherwise the hole screen moves.

Create a virtual level control >> then use this vault in the dimmers. Like Adrian post.

A stand-alone article is a kind of essay that is likely to be used by the candidate or to explain who the author really is to people who have nothing to do with them www.paraphrasingonline.com. It is ideal to start with multiple facets to draw readers' attention to the exhibit. The essayist must clarify abilities, individual characteristics, interests, and so on.
