Use door sensor as gaz meter reader

Hi,
I have a door sensor lsmt-606A from DI-O (433.92MHz) setup and connected to a gas meter. It's able to pickup the magnet every metercube of gaz. But at the moment it's setup as a door sensor, I would like know how I could set it up as a gas usage counter.
Is there a trick to force the door sensor to act like a gas counter under Zipato?

Hi,
I don't think that is possible. But you can do the following:
1. Create a virtual meter which will act as your gas usage meter.
2. Create a rule, triggered by your door sensor and add 1 to the virtual meter above
3. hide the door sensor in the device browser.
