could you please explain me what is the objective, and how to use the block "alarm" in advanced menu of rules creator ?

You could turn the alarm on or off or make a rule to trigger when the alarm is tripped.
So you can customize your alarm.

I don't think this block is to turn on or off the alarm.
This block (see picture) only works with sensors. There is a lot of choice in "select type".

the Alarm block will be removed from Rules creator because it is no longer functional. Please use sensor puzzle instead.
