Configuring the cluster?

Kristian Franzen shared this question 10 years ago
Need Answer

OK, finally recieved my second zipabox so now I'm ready to get the cluster going. I have a few questions on the setup though. What I've done so far is:

1. Added both boxes as registered to my account

2. Purchased 1 cluster license

3. Created the cluster

4. Successfully joined one of the boxes to the cluster

5. The other box wont join the cluster though, error msg "No cluster with serial xxxx" when trying to add it.

Another question - both of the boxes run the latest 0.9.998 firmware. The cluster though complains that it runs an old firmware and wants to upgrade from 0.9 to 0.9.998. However, then performing the upgrade it never finishes, sits in the "upgrading" stage indefinately. How come?

Many thanks for answers to these,

Kristian

Thanks, I'm trying to e-mail support now - however the mail bounces even though I'm using the same e-mail adress which I'm using in the zipato portal.

Anyone else having trouble reaching through to support?

you can try 3 things:

(1)

>> Go to the dashboard

>> General settings

>> Fill in all details

>> save and sync

>> Send mail to login email address

(2)

Try: support.zipato.com

(3)

Try hello@zipato.com

Finally got through to support when reaching out to one of the staff individually. They connected and sorted it out.

So now I can see all devices from both boxes in the cluster, but when triggering an action such as turning on a switch from the cluster - nothing happens. Is anyone else but me using the cluster and knows how it's actually supposed to work?

As of now, I can't really tell if I'm doint it wrong, or if it's not working. And documentation is, as we know, thoroughly lacking...

Generally, it should work same as an regular Zipabox. You can see all the devices associated to any of the Zipaboxes, and you can create rules, thermostats, security partitions etc... In case something is not working like this, you have some problem and you should open a ticket on support...

Sebastian, as mentioned - I can see all devices and everything appears to look right. However, nothing happens on the switches etc if I change status on them from the cluster.

Are you with Zipato support? If so, can you please investigate why I can't email support@zipato.com. All my emails bounces, even though I send them from the registered email adress for my account.

Thanks,

Kristian

Yes I think we should get an update, cluster was promised to be available with the delivery of the first Zipatiles and v1+ firmware. Many guys have already their zipatiles running v1+ (including myself) and still no news on cluster option...

Unfortunately, the cluster option still has some issues, and we will publish rhe fix within next week. Once it is ready, we will also publish a video tutorial.

When is the release expected? It is still not live in my zipabox and zipatile. Cluster is created though is not selectable in the UI.

Still Nothing about the Cluster?! The mentioned fix should have arrived weeks ago according To Sebastian. An Update would be Nice! When can we Finaly expect the Cluster Feature or at least a Beta?
