MySensors.org support

Steefph shared this idea 9 years ago
Under Consideration

Would it be possible to add support for MySensors.org? This way users can created their own devices and interacht with the Zipabox.

I guess the easiest way to implement is by using the Ethernet solution for the master controller.

HI,

Make the arduino to be seem as oregon device for example ... ?

Or do a http post with an internet wifi shield or wifi device on the arduino.

I will try both next.

Look at this

Wifi shield is way more expensive than the RF2.4GHz modules for the mysensors system. Simulating a Oregon device is just a dirty solution in my opinion ;-) Would be better to allow a real custom build platform like the mysensors system. A bit more DIY with Zipato and Arduino would be great :)

I agree would be perfect to have an integration with mysensors via arduino gateway either by ethernet or usb.

Any news?

I have mysensor gateway.

Is it time to switch to Vera controller?

I fully support this idea. Zipato seems a bit too limited with regards to general interface incl. the way the 433MHz module works. Better IP support (network discovery, UPnP and eg. ChromeCast), MQTT (on the way I understand) and a Node-Red node would be highly appreciated. I'm sure a lot could be done as it is, but it's not for "everyone" to achieve it at present.
