Wishlist for me for future developments
Hello,
I would like to share a list of wishes for different features that don't exist or don't work as I expected and which I believe would be usefull and would add value to the users and to the product. I am aware there are plenty more things, but these are just few things I consider as "basic features" for amateur non-professional user. I own a Zipatile myself, so some of the things are focused on this product, but almost all of them are general. Maybe some of the things are under development or can be considered for the future by Zipato team. This is my list:
CAMERAS
* Be able to use your own FTP server for saving snapshots
* Be able to know the date of the latest picture for the rules
* For safety application: be able to switch on Zipatile and open Stream of a certain camera with rules
* Zipatile and mobile app:
- If you click on the image of the camera, make it big
- Show the option for downloading saved pictures
* Do not delete the latest image of a camera for avoiding camera snapshot errors (I do have now a rule on my cameras for uploading a picture everyday, instead of keeping latest picture when movement was detected)
GRAPHS
* Improve the graphics feature on my.zipato website. Have a look on Fibaro home center for example: several metrics on the same graph, accumulatives, etc. This is really interesting for weather applications or energy metering.
* Basic graph on mobile app and PLEASE on Zipatile.
ENERGY METERING
* Be able to re-start the counter to zero
* Daily and Monthly consumes in kW and Euros and estimation tools
MOVEMENT SENSORS
* Add an option to show on the sensor latest movement date/time, with no need of going to "Events" (Zipatile and mobile App)
BATTERY POWERED DEVICES
* To be possible to see the "Events" from the mobile app and OF COURSE the Zipatile
* Don't show the battery level when they are plugged ALSO for Zipatile built-in sensors
* Introduce PoE for Zipatile
RULES
* Add some kind of debugger to be able to identify an error on the programming
MOBILE APP
* Be able to setup my default screen when I open the app
* Push messages to show the images, if any: on the rule creator you can config a push message with images. But these images are not shown on my phone (at least on Android)
* If you set a picture for a room on your tile or on your mobile, this should be synchronized
BACKUP
* When upgrading soft don't loose the Home tab config of my Zipatile
* Be able to restore previous situation if my box/tile breaks down or if you change a from box to tile, including other customisations (could be through support)
LICENSE FEATURES
* License should be by "home". This way if I have 2 tiles at home (same WiFi for example) I should pay one "Home" license.
* It could be interesting for me to have more historical data for sensors and cameras or even a dedicated customer support, for which I could pay. If interested on other features, could add them on the future.
ZIPATILE
* When executing an action via touch manager or touch buttons and the screen is off, I would appreciate a confirmation on the execution of the action which is linked to it.
GENERAL
* Integration with Google and Apple domotics, including voice control
I like this idea

Agree with most of it, I would add support for Benetian Blinds mode of Qubino/Fibaro Shutter controllers (modules suport it but Zipato Interface won't allow it), complete support for Aeotec Smart Switch and Power Strip.

Although I have also no idea, I also noticed that Zipato is again silent for a long time. I hope this is related to a stability improvement and not new feature that is partially working

we're not silent, we're reading the community posts day by day, as well as working on improvements and new features. Keep an eye out on the forum, as we will announce new features soon.

* Add the Virtual Thermostat schedule manager to the mobile app (check out how Honeywell or Momit is doing this, for example)
* Recently I've changed mobile phone from Andoid to iOS and surprisingly noticed iOS mobile app is much worst than Android. This could be improved

- Be able to manage schedules
- Remove ON/OFF button
- Create easier acceses to economy, comfort, night, etc presents
- Create a multiroom controller (see Honeywell evohome example) with simple but effective access

The device could show simple info configurable by user and selectable from your current devices: for example, certaiin temperature and could switch ON/OFF leds indicating several states. It could be usefull for example to show outside temperature sensor value on your entrance hall, for you to know when leaving, or how long it takes your bus to arrive its stop. And leds could be just indicators for certain elements or rules status. Just an idea that would be usefull for me.

Locl voice works. I have it working at home on daily basis. Do you have PRO license? I believe it is required to work.

You do need PRO for local voice and local push to work.

Sorry it does work but the volume of the zipatile is very soft.
