Zipato IP Cam, SnapShot won't be stored at Zipato FTP server
Hi
I need some help to for my Zipato IP Cam NCM750GB.
The camera is connected to the Zipabox and i have entered the FTP settings into camera settings.
You should be able to reach the settings through Zipato Control Center.
I have followed the instructions on https://community.zipato.com/knowledge-base/article/adding-an-ip-camera but the "test" won't work as from item 6 in the "Configuring the camera" section at this web page. I have tried to set it up manually too.
When i am using the Snapshot image button on the Zipato camera and then open Files manager i dosn't show anything, also after using refresh and "today" button. I have also tried via the Rules. (See attached picture).
Zipabox is working with my Foscam. Why should it not work with Zipato IP Cam?
Best Regards
Svenn
Hello Svenn,
Okay so the issue is pretty simple after inspecting it closely.
When sending a snapshot request for the zipato IP camera, you are including the login data in the URL path for the snapshot itself which gets blocked in Google Chrome browser.
The thing is, using login data in the URL request is deemed deprecated from Google devs, and shouldn't be used - thus they decided to block such issued requests.
Upon changing the browser to IE, Firefox, Safari, or whatever - I was able to save the snapshots on your camera with ease.
Also note, you should be able to trigger a snapshot via rule regardless of the browser - however - google devs might have patched that as well.
