virtual switch do not work

i have made a simple rule like this

when virtual switch ON

turn ON light1

wait 5 second

turn OFF light1

and i turn on and off virtual switch manualy and nothing happens

please help

Hello Jose,

Your Rule seems OK. Have you Synchronized the Rules after you saved this Rule? Also please check if your On/Off light 1 switch is not Offline.

Yes, I had tried everything, I Synchronized, rebooted, loog out, loog in, the swith works well with other rules.

I made before complicated rules and they works

This one is very simple

What i really want is to use a virtual switch to set a variable to 1 if virtual swith goes on and set it to 0 if the virtual switch goes off

and with that i will have a semaphore to do or not to do rules.

could you please try this rule

Hello Jose,

I have created the Rule you asked for and I attached it to this message.

I have also created another Rule to send me an email when I change Variable to 0 or 1, to test my first Rule.

All is solved, the problem was a loop in one rule

To control and avoid the loop i used a flag
